Based on co-managment, territorial rights for fishing and ecosystem based management to achieve a profound change in fishing and the status of small fisheries in Spain and the Mediterranean.  This way we will be contributing to recover the marine environment and maintaining the extractive activities of fishers committed to sustainability.

- Involve the fishers so they lead a process from the start with broad participation but strengthening the importance of their alliances with other stakeholders.

- Encourage the administration to facilitate joint management and trust processes.

- Prepare a diagnosis by means of interviews with stakeholders and map potential allies such as fishers, NGOs and other stakeholders.

- Design participatory processes with experts and ensure transparency.

- Identify management tools based on rights.

- Incorporate the local and scientific knowledge in the management process.

- Facilitate the exchange between fishers and leaders of fishing communities in other regions.

- Design internal and external communications strategies.

- Identify market incentives to support the marketing of sustainable seafood products.
